Ice Skating

We decided to take Jack ice skating at the local civic center. We weren't sure if they would have skates small enough, but they had hockey skates that were just his size. (Unfortunately they didn't have hockey skates Brian's size so he had to wear figure skates) I kept waiting for him to bust out a triple lutz--but nothing! :) Jack was so excited on the car ride even though I don't think he knew what ice skating was. Brian played a year of hockey when he was 15 so we were hoping he still remembered how to skate or it was going to get ugly. But I guess it is like riding a bike because he had no problems even holding onto a squirmy two year old. I think we spent more time getting Jack's skates on then he actually spent out on the ice. He didn't like the feeling of the cold ice on his hands when he fell. We had a great time!

Visit with Mimi and Papaw

This past week my in-laws were here to visit. They finally got to meet Tyler who had already changed so much from the pictures they had seen. And of course Jack couldn't get enough of them. Papaw left on Saturday but Mimi is hanging out for another week to play.

Here is Jack riding the carousel with Papaw and Mimi

It was Mimi's birthday while they were here so we celebrated with cake and of course party hats. (Jack can't have a birthday party without hats!)

Brian and I actually got to go out without the kiddos. Thanks Mimi!!

Airplanes Airplanes Airplanes

On Sunday I took my in-laws and the boys to the Navy Aviation Museum in Pensacola. We had taken Jack once before and he loved it! He loves to be able to sit in all the airplanes and fly them "up in the sky", as Jack likes to say. He had a blast.....I think the love of planes is in his DNA!

Taking our new double stroller out for a spin. Notice Tyler peeking his little face out.

Our Little Fish

Over the past two weeks Jack and I have been doing some Mom/Tot swim lessons at our local YMCA. Jack has really grown to love the water so I wanted to make sure we got him into some swim lessons. He did pretty well. Our problem was quite different then the other kids in the class. The others were hesitant to get in, Jack just didn't want to sit and learn anything...he just wanted to play. Surprise, surprise but he had no fear of the water. He would go completely under and it wouldn't phase him in the least! We are joining the Y next week so next time we go back he can play all he wants!

Here is Jack with his graduation certificate.

Pics of the Week

Here are some pictures taken over the last week or so.

Daddy giving Ty his first bottle

My Dad came in town for a short visit. He actually had some business in town so it worked out really nicely. Jack loved seeing his Poppy!

Here is a picture of me and my beautiful boys and the beautiful flowers they sent me for Mother's Day!

Here is a pic of Tyler taken on his one month birthday. We can already see a huge change in him over this last month. Our little chunker is almost 11 pounds already!!
