Yesterday was the start of my 36th week. I am starting to feel big as a house, it looks like I swallowed a basketball. I am still feeling pretty good. Friday I didn't feel real great and was worried Ty may be trying to make an early appearance. But Saturday I felt back to my normal self again. We had some really strange weather Thursday and Friday and I think I was feeling bad due to that. My fingers are starting to swell a little bit and I am still having some serious reflux issues but other than that I can't complain. I really have been truly blessed with two great pregnancies. My Mom is due to head out Easter Sunday to spend a little over a month with us. She changed her flight and is coming a week earlier than originally planned. She must be having some mother's intuition about Ty's arrival.

Double Appointments
Jack getting measured on his growth chart
I just realized I forgot to blog about our doctor's appointments last week. Jack had his 2 year well baby appointment and I had my OB check-up. That is what is so awesome about our doctor. He is my regular doctor, Jack's doctor and my OB so we get to take care of it all at once. I thought it was going to be a complete disaster since Dr. Nipper was running behind and we had been sitting in the waiting room for over an hour. But Jack was a champ letting them weigh him and measure his height with no problem. He weighed in at 34.4 lbs and 36 inches tall. Once they calculated everything they determined he was in the 98th percentile for height and weight. I knew he would be up there since he is constantly outgrowing his clothes and is almost an entire heads length taller than most his friends. He wasn't too sure about letting the med tech check his pulse ox and temp. Then it was Mommy's turn. Dr. Nipper checked me out and said everything is great with Ty. He didn't have the sonogram equipment in the room to listen to the heartbeat but happened to have the ultrasound machine so I got to see my little buddy again and listen to the heartbeat. When I was done, it was Jack's turn with Dr. Nipper. I pulled out the infamous promise of a "pop-pop" (saved esp for haircuts and doctor's appointments) and he did everything Dr. Nipper asked plus some. He has hit every major milestone and is in perfect health. I can't wait until we need to triple book our appointments for Jack, Tyler and myself!

Zootots Tuesday
On Tuesday I took Jack to the Zootots program at our local zoo. The kids get to ride the train to see the animals, then they have storytime. After the story they brought out some things for show and tell. This time it was some camel fur they were able to touch and a turtle to pet. Lastly they allowed the kids to go inside the duck pond and feed all the birds. Jack was in all his glory!!

After the zoo we went and did our usual Tuesday ritual and went to the mall for the free carousel rides. Do we need to ask where Jack gets his cheesy grin from!

Jack Turns 2!!
This past weekend we celebrated Jack's 2nd birthday! I can still not believe two years has gone by! He has turned into such a little man. On Saturday we had a birthday party for him at the house. Brian was supposed to go on a quick trip Friday but broke so he had to leave Saturday instead and missed the party. Brian was really bummed, but it just goes with the job!
Jack had a FABULOUS time at his party. The weather was absolutely gorgeous so the kids played outside most of the time. The original plan was to BBQ but we just ordered pizza and had cake of course!
Before Brian left for work we had chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast (a Helton family tradition)

Here are some pictures of the kids playing outside.

Playing football with Seth

Seth.........go long!

Touchdown!!
Cake Time!!

Then it was time for presents...lots and lots of presents!

Since Brian was not home for Jack's party we extended the birthday celebrations through the next day.
Playing outside with Daddy and eating birthday lunch.

Next Jack opened his presents from us, and then we web chatted with Mimi, Papaw and Nic and opened their presents.

Last we went to Outback for dinner where Jack had his first bite of Blooming Onion and they sang Happy Birthday to him. He love it!

Jack's New Playset
For Jack's birthday we decided to buy and build a playset for him. We wanted it done for his party on Saturday so Brian took two days of leave and we put Jack in daycare those two days. Well of course, the first day it rained ALL day long. So we built what we could in the garage but had to leave most of the work for the next day. Boy was it a lot of work! And of course me being 34 weeks pregnant was not much help so Brian did the most of it. I was the official instruction reader/hardware gatherer. But after 12 long hours and one big kistake on my part (oops!) we got it done. We showed it to Jack today and he is in love with it. He must have swung for almost an hour, with the biggest smile on his face. And of course seeing him like that made me so happy!!
