Day 1: We arrived in Orlando and checked into the All Star Sports Resort where we were staying. We were very happy with our room except for the bathroom. Jack is not afraid of alot of things, but one thing that gets him upset is taking a shower. Well keeping with the sports theme the bathroom was set up like a locker room with only a shower. Jack was not a happy camper. That night we just stayed around the hotel and Brian and Jack went swimming in the pool. This was the first time since swimming lessons since he had been back in and he absolutely loved it! He didn't want Daddy holding onto him, he wanted to do it "myself". He also loved jumping off the side of the pool by "myself" to, my little daredevil!
Day 2: The next day we woke up bright and early and headed out to the Magic Kingdom. First thing we did was head over to a character breakfast with Pooh and his friends. At first Jack was very shy, but by the end had warmed up enough to give them high fives and even a hug or two. We went and did some rides with Jack and he did great with them as well. We went at a good time, the lines weren't long at all! At lunchtime we headed back to the hotel so Jack (and Mommy) could get some rest. Then we got up and headed back to the Magic Kingdom to catch the fireworks.
Day 3: The next day we headed off to Animal Kingdom. By far Jack's favorite part of the whole vacation was riding the buses back and forth between the resort and the parks. He thought he was so cool when he got to sit in a seat by himself. We were all pretty excited about the park because it was the first visit there for all of us. Jack LOVEs animals so he was in all his glory. He even sat still long enough to watch the Lion King show. He was infatuated with the electronic giraffe in the show. There was all kinds of singing and dancing going on in front of him and all he could say was "giraffe'! We also got to meet Mickey, go to a petting zoo and Jack and Daddy rode a ride out to see all the safari animals. After spending the first part of the day at Animal Kingdom we went back to our room to rest. Jack and Daddy got a chance to go out to the big football field at the hotel and run around. We were staying at the resort the same time there was some cheerleading competition going on there. So this was the first time there weren't a thousand screaming teenage girls practicing their routine.
Day 4: We started out the next day by heading to Sea World. Jack loved seeing all the "fish" and riding the rides with Daddy. After Sea World we headed over to Ikea for some Mommy fun time. I could shop for days in that store....but we wanted to still get to Epcot so I kept it short and just got a few things. Next we headed over to Epcot to catch a few rides, to check out our Leave a Legacy plaque that we did what seems like a lifetime ago, and of course eat our way through all the countries! Jack held on until almost 11 o'clock.
Day 5: We decided to take it easy in the morning, for Mom's sake. So Dad and Jack went back in the pool and then we all went back to the room for a much needed long nap. Jack, who never falls asleep on us anymore, crashed on Daddy for a couple of hours. After our rest we went and got our pictures done. Jack, as always, turned on his charm for the camera. After taking forever trying to pick out what pictures we wanted we decided to head back to the Magic Kingdom to spend our last night. We still needed to take Jack on the Jungle Cruise! So while everyone was watching the fireworks we went and rode all the rest of the rides that Jack and Mommy were able to. We stayed until the park closed at 11. Jack held onto the very end! It was a wonderful end to a wonderful week!!
