Our New Arrival

We welcomed Tyler Harrison into our family on Monday, April 13th at 12:01pm. He weighed in at 8lbs 9oz and 19.5 inches long (not to shabby for being two weeks early)! I went into labor Easter evening around 11pm and my water broke at midnight. We went to the hospital and everything rolled along pretty well. It was about 11:45 am and I was resting pretty comfortably at 8cm after my epidural. I told Brian to head down to the cafeteria to grab some lunch since he missed the breakfast hours. He was hesitant because he said he didn't want to leave me. I said, "Go ahead, what could happen in the 15 minutes you are gone"..ha ha famous last words. As soon as he left,Ty's heart rate dropped so the nurses starting moving me around trying to get his heart rate up. They paged my doctor and as soon as he checked me he said we were ready to push. Brian was not back yet so they had to overhead page him over the entire hospital. We were under a tornado warning at the time so everyone was eating in the cafeteria. When he got back up there I was ready to go. Brian sort of had the deer in the headlights look when he came back in the room. When he left I was alone in the room, when he came back there were about 10 people. After about 3 pushes Tyler was here. (I guess alot can happen in 15 minutes)!!
We are all home now and doing well. Tyler is a very quiet and content baby. Only really crying when he is hungry. Jack is doing pretty well. He wants to hold Tyler all the time, but we are learning how to do it gently! Here are some pictures from the hospital and the first few days home.

Oh my goodness - He's so beautiful!
First with Jack, Brian was woken up from a good nap and then with Ty, he was just trying to enjoy some lunch. Poor guy, he hasn't really been fully prepared for the delivery part with either boys! That sure is crazy how things can change in just a short 15 minutes!
Thank you so much for posting pictures...I know you are busy these days.
That just makes me cry. I wish so much that I could see you all and meet little Ty...I miss you a lot!
Take care and hope Ty continues to be such a good baby for you!
Love y'all!

Congratulations to you all! What a great story you will have to tell Ty! I bet Jack is great and can't get enough of his new brother. I hope sleep is ample and cries are far and few between!
