Today was a big milestone for Jack. He had his first haircut! I took him to a place called JJ's Kids Cuts that specializes in kids haircuts. They have play equipment to use while the kids wait. When it is time for the haircut they have these cool chairs for them to sit in that look like fire engines and rocket ships. They also have a TV at each station and any kids movie you can think of to keep them distracted. Jack did so well. He got to sit in the fire engine. His stylist, Shakeshia asked how I wanted it cut. I didn't have a clue! It was just me and my sister growing up and well, we all know how Brian styles his do. So she looked at me and just smiled and said "first haircut...I will just trim it up". His hair had not got really bad was definitely hanging long in the back and by his ears. Jack just payed attention to the Baby Einstein on TV and every now and then would look to see what this lady was doing to him. He did start to cry when she took out the electric razor at the end, but I swear I have never seen anyone cut hair so quickly! At the end Jack got a balloon and a certificate for his first cut and Mommy got to keep some of the clippings. I couldn't believe how different Jack looked! He looked like a little boy and not my baby anymore!!
The pictures keep getting out of order as they are posted. The ones in his PJ's were taken last night as his "before" shots.
